Christmas spirit week is here! Today is Christmas Sweater day and tomorrow is Student/Teacher swap. This means students can dress up like teachers and teachers will dress up like students! This should be good!

Reminder to all students - including high school students who drive themselves: if you are leaving school early, we have to be advised by your parent/guardian and you must check out of the office before leaving.
Grade 7-12 Students who will be away next week - you MUST empty your lockers and take everything home TODAY! New lockers are being installed over the break so you must have your locker completely empty. If you have questions, please see Principal Lech or Vice Principal Kelln.
Next week, we start the SLC Christmas spirit week! The December calendar is posted on the WDS website and FB page with all of the days. Posters are also up in the halls. Monday kicks off the week with Christmas Sweater Day.

Exciting Youth Curling Update!
We are thrilled to share that so many students signed up for Grade 4–6 curling that we’re expanding our program! To make sure everyone gets the best experience possible, we’ll be splitting the group:
Grades 4 & 5 Curling Club: Wednesdays from 3:30–4:30
Grades 6, 7, 8 Junior Curlers: Thursdays from 3:30–4:30
Grades 9, 10, 11 & 12 Senior Curlers: __________ from 3:30–4:30
Thank you for your understanding with this schedule change. We are beyond excited for this next chapter in the youth curling scene at WDS! Our program is growing, and it’s amazing to see.
If the new dates now make it possible for you to join, please come see Miss Fedak at the start of lunch recess and bring a friend. (Grade 7s, I’m talking about you.)

Tis the season of giving and next week begins our William Derby Food Drive. Each day will feature a different non perishable food item to donate. Students can place the items they bring under the Christmas Tree outside of Mr Edwards classroom. We will kick things off on Monday with canned items. Tuesday will be pasta items, Wednesday will be boxed items, Thursday will be baking items and Friday will be everything! Your generosity goes a long way and all donations are greatly appreciated.

Perogies will be available to pick up at the school on Dec 11th. Pick up time will be after school until 4:30pm-and then after the Christmas concert. Please note that orders must be picked up according to the order forms. Do not send individuals to pick up their order. Thanks!
