Great job to all of our elementary cross country runners at their meet yesterday. Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer them on and a big thank you to our high school helpers Gwen, Dana, and Hunter for volunteering their time to help out our younger students.

Congratulations to Julia Hrycak, grade 12 student, who will be showcasing her artwork at the Pink Door Show in Calgary this weekend. Julia will join over 30 artists from across Canada in this exhibition. Well done, Julia!!
Today is our elementary cross country meet after school. If you are going please make sure you have handed in your permission forms to your teacher. Teachers please get these forms to Mrs. Dunlop right after O Canada. We will meet in Ms. Cronan’s room after school to head over to the Rodeo grounds.

Congratulations to Gwen, Reed, Brodie, and Cooper H who competed in cross country provincials this weekend. They led our team to a 6th place finish in 2A schools in the province. Well done runners! .
Thank you, team leaders, for organizing all WDS students to create a fantastic Farmer Day on Thursday. It was a high-paced, action-filled day with some great competition. Congratulations to Josie for winning the 2025 Squash Derby. The overall aggregate winners were as follows,
- In sixth place, the Pigs with 45 points
- In fifth place, the Horses with 53 points
- In fourth place, the Cows with 57 points
- In third place, the Goats with 61 points
- And the 2025 winner of The Golden Boot, first place with 79 points, the sheep
- Can all sheep please come to the office after O Canada today to receive your trophy and have a team photo?

Congratulations to the Senior Girls Volleyball team on their victory last night against the Punnichy Comets. Our team won 3 sets of 5 and every player contributed to our success. Go Vikings!!

The Turkey Trot is here! Elementary students who would like to enter their name for a chance to win a Turkey dinner and all of the fixings for their family, meet Mrs. Heisler at the track at lunch recess. Every day that you walk or run enters you into the draw! Thank you to the Strasbourg Rec Board for sponsoring this fun event!

We have four athletes moving on to Provincials in Yorkton this coming Saturday.

Congratulations to all Flag football players on hosting a great Jamboree. The Vikings finished 3-1 against the Milestone Cougars with two great come from behind wins! You represented your school and community with pride. Way to go Vikings!

WDS is happy to bring back the Christmas Arrangements to help raise money for playground improvements and repairs to playground equipment. Check out the William Derby Website and Facebook page to learn more.
Yesterday, all of the elementary students went home with an Attendance Information magnet to put on the fridge. More will be distributed to the highschool kids but if you have been missed, please stop by the office for one.
