Fitness club is starting up soon. If you want to get stronger, move more, or just hang out while pretending to be athletic, sign up on the bulletin board beside Mr. Wachal’s room. Write your grade and which days you can show up. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. We plan to kick things off on November 24th. More info coming soon! ****Fitness club is for Grades 7 - 12***
Booster Juice is coming to WDS on Monday! Claire will be around to pick up Booster Juice forms in the second period, or you can drop them off on Mrs. Heisler’s desk. Today is the last day to order them.

Booster Juice is coming to WDS on Monday, November 17th. Orders went out yesterday and are due on Friday. Claire will be around to pick up your order and money first period or you can drop them off in Mrs. Heisler’s room. If you need an order form, there are extras in the office or Mrs Heisler’s room.

Today is the William Derby Remembrance Day service. Poppies are available in the office for a donation. They are not free for the taking. Your contribution helps support our veterans. And on our day of Remembrance, please be respectful and keep your head wear in your locker.

Orders are due today for the Growing Smiles Holiday Arrangement Fundraiser. If you have collected paper orders, please ensure they are handed in to your teacher. Anyone who has placed orders online and chose to pay in person, must have payments in to the office by end of day today.
The WDS SCC has also started a fundraiser to help support the playground repairs. Don’t miss out on ordering PEROGIES! Choose from Cheddar Cheese, Bacon and Dill. Order forms were sent home with all students from grades K-9. Ms Betker also has extra order forms in the office. A great opportunity to get the freezer stocked!
There will be beginner band first thing this morning - please come even if you don’t have your instrument. Senior Band please come to Miss Hill’s room at 10:00. There will not be any band choir or music classes in the afternoon.

Our Senior Girls Volleyball Team showed amazing effort, teamwork and sportsmanship all season long! While their run in the Sr. Girls Volleyball Conferences came to an end the past weekend, they made WDS proud with their positive attitude and determination. Way to go, team, and GO VIKINGS!

Reminder- The High school dance is from 7pm-9pm tonight. Tickets for tonight will be available for pre-sale purchase today at lunch outside of Ms. Fidyks classroom for $5.00 and will also be available at the door. Prizes will be awarded at the dance best costume and other categories relating to your costume so much sure to dress your best! There will be prizes for the games set up and you can purchase from regular canteen as well.

Elementary volleyball Tuesday after school
Students in Grade 9-12 will be traveling to Evraz Place in Regina for the See Your Future- Education & Career Fair tomorrow. The buses will leave AFTER period 1. Period 1 will be regular classes. Students are responsible for their own lunch, and will be back at the school in time for afternoon buses.
Teachers, please send your class lists and permission slips for the career fair to the office right after announcements this morning.

Congratulations to Gwen, Reed, Brodie, and Cooper H who competed in cross country provincials this weekend. They led our team to a 6th place finish in 2A schools in the province. Well done runners! .
Thank you, team leaders, for organizing all WDS students to create a fantastic Farmer Day on Thursday. It was a high-paced, action-filled day with some great competition. Congratulations to Josie for winning the 2025 Squash Derby. The overall aggregate winners were as follows,
- In sixth place, the Pigs with 45 points
- In fifth place, the Horses with 53 points
- In fourth place, the Cows with 57 points
- In third place, the Goats with 61 points
- And the 2025 winner of The Golden Boot, first place with 79 points, the sheep
