A big Vikings thank you to Mrs Heisler and Ms Lowe for working hard to make our Agribition trip a success.  Kudos to all of the chaperones, volunteers and to our students for representing WDS so proudly.  It was a successful day and fun had by all.

 

LOST & FOUND - once again, lost and found items are piling up.  Please have a look and take your items.

Congratulations to the Strasbourg elementary volleyball team. They played some great sets against Bulyea yesterday and ended their season with a win. Great job team! Please return your jerseys to Ms. Gay today at recess.

 

A big thank you to all the volunteers in volleyball. You made yesterday happen! Thanks!

 

There will be a very important wrestling meeting today at lunch in the IA Lab. As well, practice today at 330.

 

A big Viking thank you to Mrs Welch, Connor Welch, Mrs Kelln, Gilbert Kim, Sam Betker and Emma Betker for helping to bring in our plant orders last night.  Mrs Hancock and Mrs Herman are busy organizing things in the art room.  Thanks for everyone’s help!  Plants should be ready for pick up by 10am.

Jr. and Sr. Curling is on Wednesdays every week at 3:30. Make sure that you wait a few minutes after school before heading to the rink, so you aren’t waiting outside for Mr. Myhr

The U of R presentation scheduled for today has been cancelled.  A new date will be shared with you once it has been set.

 

Volleyball students!! Please return your volleyball jerseys to Mrs. Hubick.

 

REMINDER - when buses are canceled, the school still needs to hear from families if students are absent to ensure they are safe. We don't know who will attempt to drive in on their own so if we haven't heard anything, we will call to confirm attendance. Thank you for your cooperation.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Book Fair last night.  The lucky winners of our Family Event door prize are Kasen Ferguson who won $25 in books for his family and Ms. Cronan who won $25 in books for her classroom

The book fair is open until 3:30 today. The last day of the bookfair is Friday, November 22.  

 

The first wrestling practice of the season will be Monday at 5 in the gym. Bring shorts and clean shoes. All students in grades 7-12 are welcome to come try it out. If you have any questions, find Mr. Yathon

Today the Book Fair will be open from 8:30 to 3:30 and 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Families attending the book fair during parent-teacher interviews may enter the students name into a draw for $25 worth of books for themselves and $25 worth of books for their classroom. We accept cash, debit and credit cards.

 

There will be a jr girls basketball practice on Monday, November 18 and Wednesday, November 20 from 5:00 - 6:30.  Please see Mrs. Lech if you have any questions.

 

Reminder - tonight is parent teacher interview.

Please remember that tomorrow is Formal Day.  Come dressed in your best to honour our veterans as we participate in our Remembrance Day service.  The service will be at 10:30 am.  

 

Due to the set up for the Remembrance Day ceremony tomorrow, Cheer practice will need to be canceled after school today.
